How this Shanghai Hotel is Counteracting the Coronavirus

By David DeMoss

If you’ve watched the news recently, chances are you’ve heard about the Coronavirus. China has taken the biggest hit, losing over 1,770 people to the virus as of February 16, 2020. China’s government and businesses are trying to take action to control the spread of this terrible outbreak, from putting restrictions on travel to providing masks and hand sanitizer in as many places as possible. To do their part in preventing the spread of this virus any further, one hotel in Shanghai has created a smart system and room service robot for their guests. Guests book a room through their smart system, and can be checked in after having their body temperature measured. If any of their guests need anything, the hotel employs their room service robot to fulfill that request. In addition, the hotel staff is cleaning the property regularly and masks/hand sanitizer are available for anyone who needs them. To watch a video of the robot in action, click the link below.
